Morning all!
I hope everyone is starting to feel the benefits to
having a 4 day week (due to the UK bank holiday). We also had the clocks going
forwards which means lighter for longer in the evening. All we need now is the seemingly
never ending, bitterly cold wind to go away and we can party in the streets
like it’s the swinging sixties. "Yeah baby!!"
We swept Reading aside with great efficiency last weekend
and I hope we can have the same impact on the match on Saturday at West Brom.
I see the match at the Hawthornes as another tricky
fixture. If we keep our recent good form and focus then we will have more than
enough to beat them comfortably. We can't underestimate them as they have taken
quite a few points off us in recent years.
When we met them earlier in the year they were in quite
good form and we were the complete opposite. We had drawn against Villa and
Everton and then there was the 0-2 loss away at Swansea, these were not happy
days. We went on to beat West Brob 2-0 but it wasn't the most convincing win we
will see. It took an Arteta penalty to break the deadlock; he also rounded the
match off with another goal late on.
I am fairly sure we will have enough to get the result we
need. I am not sure who will make the team sheet but I wouldn't change things
too much. I'm sure we will hear later if there has been any injury news and we
will bring it to you tomorrow.
It looks like most players are coming back fitness and
finding some decent form so let’s hope that stays with us till the end of the
season. I guess in some ways, not being in 4 competitions makes it easier to
keep everyone fit and sharp but that is all down to squad depth and im not
going to drag over them old coals now.
I’m feeling confident about the weekend and I believe
Arsenal members can go to the stadium to watch the match on big screens. I have
been before, it’s a little odd but quite good fun.
Hope you have a good day
