Jack Wilshere Injury/Rest Up & Diaby Makes It On To Plane OK

I can confirm Jack Of Wiltshire has been ruled out for three weeks. It would appear that he has hurt the ankle on the other side to the one that kept him out for so long recently.

Fortunately for us that period only encompasses 1 Premiership game which is against Swansea. He obviously misses the trip to Germany land, the swans game then there is an international break. It seems to be fortunate and as this is only a precautionary rest I think it been well manipulated by arsenal. It does however dent our tiny hopes of qualifying against Munich even further and belies Wenger’s opinion that qualification is almost impossible.

It should be an exciting game tomorrow, as much as I would obviously love for us to go through (and as I write this I’m furiously thinking of permutations of who scores and when for us to go through) its almost certainly not going to happen and so a little bit the pressure is off the players and the fans. If you are spending your time and hard earned money going I hope you have a great time one way or another.

More info on the team is distilled by who gets on the plane! It looks like Gibbs and Diaby will be enjoying a few dry roasted peanuts and a tomato juice whereas as Bacary ‘The Sag’ Sagna is resting up. Good to see Gibbo back as we can pick two from our 3 centre backs.

Szczesny and Poldo have also been left at home in what now looks like a bit of a makeshift squad.

 

It surprises me that Diaby managed to navigate his passage safely over those mechanised walkways but hopefully he’ll get trapped in the toilet or under one of the seats or more likely all the duty free Per is bringing back for their mates will fall out of the overhead lockers and smash him like an old bone china plate.
