England Vs Arsenal - Tuesday Slow Mo

@tonyadamsmagic

A Tuesday morning in the middle of the nuclear winter which is the international break makes it hard work to find interesting and true news stories.

I’ve never really been in to international football. I’m a very proud Englishman but when I was growing up my passion for Arsenal was so blinding and more importantly my hatred of other teams and their players so intense I simply couldn’t bring myself to support them. How could I hate these guys one day and support them the next?

I want England (and Britain at the Olympics) to do well, don’t get me wrong. I love the England shirt but I really dislike some of the people that wear it. My dislike for opposition players in England shirts has waned and mellowed a little as the years have passed but, frankly, I still struggle with the whole concept. I would gladly throw John Terry into a pit of molten larva but when he puts on an England shirt I’m suppose to be his supporter. It seems a bit contradictory to me.

I’d still probably have England win the world cup above arsenal winning the champions league just for the national craic of it. What can I say, I’m conflicted!

There are a few stories this morning about our centre backs. I won’t bore you with the details but they all look quite tenuous and if any did leave, which I don’t think they will, it will be independent of any of these rubbishy stories.

I was reading a good article in the gooner on my way to work, and I would recommend you have a look at it too. A good piece they talks about what lies ahead for The Arsenal.

And I also came across these two photos when I was looking for a funny arsenal related one to send to pumpkiii.

This one is of George Graham after winning the league at Anfield 1989 in what is surely one of the most amazing games in our history.

It just struck me how more real it seemed back then.

And this one is of Tony Adams. Hero.

That’s it for today. Pumpkiii should be back tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday.

Come on you reds!!
